Apply to Become A UB STAR!

If you have pride in UB this is the position for you! Help recruit students to UB while gaining some public relations experience. Consider applying to UB STARS (STudent Admissions Recruitment Speacialists), a highly selective volunteer organization that is currently recruiting new students for next year.

STARS are a select group of approximately 50 students who assist the Office of Admissions in the promotion of UB to prospective students, their parents and the high school guidance community. The UB STARS return to their high schools to give presentations about UB, help UB at important admissions events such as Open House, and staff the Office of Admissions screen name, UBADMIT, answering questions potential students and their parents have about UB. A dynamic public relations organization, UB STARS is a vitally important aspect in UB’s recruitment efforts.

If you’d like more information and to talk to a current STAR about the program, there will table days in the Student Union on February 18, 23, and 26, or you can IM them at their screen name UBADMIT anytime between 9 am and 5 pm. The deadline to turn in your application is Friday, March 6th, so fill yours out and drop it off at the reception desk in 12 Capen Hall or e-mail Amanda Schieber!
