GEICO’s 2007 Achievement Award Program selects finalists on the basis of academics, leadership, and participation in school and community activities.
- Must be majoring in a Business, IT, Liberal Arts, or related field of study
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Sophomore or Junior Status
- Be committed to his/her campus and community
Applications are available at UB Career Services office, 259 Capen Hall.
In addition to completing an application, applicants will need a resume, unofficial transcripts, Faculty Letter of Recommendation (sealed and stamped), and a short essay on “What I have done academically and in my activities to deserve a GEICO Achievement Award”.
Applications must be postmarked by November 30, 2007.

The transition from high school to college can be a stressful time for anyone. Why not take advantage of some of the little known resources that UB offers to alleviate some of this stress and meet some new people? This workshop will let participants in on how to access UB resources such as chair massages, the desktop spa, gym and recreational facilities, life and learning workshops and many more! It will also provide an opportunity to meet other students and form friendships. Take the time to stop over to the Union for this session to learn about the positive ways you can deal with stress!
