Calling all Mentors!!!!!!
The UB Scholars Mentoring Program is designed to help freshmen Scholars with their adjustment to the University by pairing them with an upper level Scholar who will serve as a resource person.
Scholar Mentors will help first-year Scholars with their transition from high school to higher education by providing students with information on how to adapt to campus life and how to become an active member of the University community. Not only will you be able to help an incoming Scholar, but serving as a Mentor is a wonderful addition to your resume and a great way to gain needed leadership experience!
If you are an upper division Scholar and would like to serve as a Mentor, you must complete the Online Mentor Application Form.
Keep in mind that Mentors must:
• Be a UB Scholar with a cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0
• Have completed at least 1 year of study
• Make a commitment for a full academic year
• Attend a Mentor training session
• Attend special events developed for Mentors and Mentees
