Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarship Program

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is now accepting nominations for its Graduate Scholarship Program, one of the largest and most competitive scholarship programs in the country. College seniors and alumni who have graduated since May 2001, may compete for the scholarships, which can total as much as $50,000 per year for up to six years.

Scholars may use the award to attend any accredited graduate school in the US or abroad to pursue any graduate or any professional degree, including medicine, law, or business. Up to 2 candidates may be nominated by the University at Buffalo and may not apply directly.

In order to have ample time for our office to work with the nominees, we are asking that interested students submit the following information to the Honors office by 5:00p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006: a one to two page personal statement among other things describing economic need (the scholarship foundation will require this as part of the application), a resume highlighting career goals, leadership positions, and awards received. From this information, the committee will select the two UB student nominees. For more information contact Hadar Borden in the Honors office, 214 Talbert Hall (645-3020) or hborden@buffalo.edu.
