It’s that time of the year when you need to start thinking about what classes to take for your next semester. Some helpful tips!
-Find out when your registration window is! seems obvious but with the new HUB system you may not know how. When you first log in to the right of your current class schedule will be a tab “registration window”, click it and select Fall 2012 semester
-Get Started Early! Usually there will be something you overlooked and you don’t want to be scrambling at the last second
-Make sure you know what classes you need make a list of all classes you can take and narrow it down from there. You don’t want to get into your last semester and realize you forgot to take a course (it just happened to me!)
-Draw up your schedule before the HUB we used to have schedule wizard to do this for you but it still wouldn’t be correct all the time. Make your own spreadsheet and fill in class times to see if there’s any overlap in times.
-Prepare multiple schedules! I can’t stress this enough! When your registration window opens some classes at certain times may be already closed so have a back up plan so your not freaking out trying to make random courses fit.
-Once you get a schedule to work, Keep It! I once tried to change one course to a better time and so I had to drop the one I got into to do this. Both courses closed on me while doing this and was stuck having to find another course to fill my schedule.
